Ira Kapitonova
The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. Psalm 14:2 I caught myself thinking that with the intensification of missile attacks, I started to worry more about my friends in different parts of Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale war, you knew that even though it's scary, the territory of Ukraine is big enough for the probability of a missile hitting someone you know to be low enough. Now, two years later, I feel like a Battleship player feels once half the board has been marked. It's not critical yet, but it's not as unlikely as in the beginning. This week, they hit objects of critical infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The kamikaze drones are still roaming the western regions of Ukraine, and there are reports of Russian strategic bombers going towards the launching points (which may mean possible missile strikes in about 3 hours). Today, I read about an elderly woman who miraculously survived after enemy munitions hit her home. Her house is almost completely ruined, but when talking to journalists, this woman doesn't want to talk about the shelling and destruction – she is much more eager to show them her flowers that are just starting to bloom. Oh, how I can relate to that! Pray for a quick restoration of power infrastructure and for the safety of dams that are being targeted. Al Akimoff and the Slavic Ministries Team Comments are closed.
