Anniversary marking the 2 year war in Ukraine
The Council of Europe opened a photo exhibition about Ukrainian children of war.
The "Dawn" photo project in Strasbourg was opened by the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Björn Berge, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
French photographer of Ukrainian origin Yuriy Bilak presented a series of photos with children who lost their homes, cities and villages due to Russian bombing and occupation. At the exhibition, you can see little Ukrainians from Buchi, Gostomel, Mariupol, Irpen, Borodyanka, Chernihiv...
As the 2 year mark comes for the war in Ukraine, citizens there are weary and wondering what the future holds. Children especially are experiencing trauma and hopelessness as they have seen homes destroyed and family killed.
