Together with YWAM Kyiv staff we were able to go to the hardest reachable villages in Kherson and Mykolaiv region. This villages do not have groceries stores as they were destroyed during occupation. People often waiting for humanitarian aid or looking for someone with car to drive them to nearest town to get groceries.
But even then , things in the store are for basic needs. So when we came with pretty Christmas boxes with candies, fresh oranges and toys kids were stunned. But more than kids I looked at the faces of their parents. Tears. Sad and joyful. Sad because they can do it for their kids, they cant get them a Christmas gift, because of the war and destruction of infrastructure. Joyful because someone came and brought celebration and joy to their kids. Someone did what they can’t do at the moment. Because of your partnership we were able to visit 3 villages that , 2 of which were under occupation and 1 was under the water after dum explosion. 300 kids received gifts and were part of Christmas program. Together with their parents they heard the Gospel and this is the biggest gift for us. Look at their faces, they are shining with smiles in the middle of destruction. Is in it beautiful that together we can give them a reason to smile and their parents reason not to give up . And we want to thank those of you who participated in giving and praying for this outreach. Can you imagine the joy and the hope that comes with this. Please don’t give up in praying for Ukraine and our precious workers there and thank you for continuing to give toward these projects. Al Akimoff and the Slavic Ministries Team Comments are closed.
