But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Psalm 49:15 I sometimes wonder about the lives of those who stayed in the occupied territories and are desperately waiting for Ukraine's return. I know they can't be outspoken about their hopes. I wonder how often they get desperate and feel lonely. That's why I'm amazed by the Yellow Ribbon initiative. This resistance movement started in the occupied territories in April 2022 to show that the supporters of Ukraine there are not alone and are not abandoned. It's entertaining to read occasional stories of a location in the occupied territories that got "dressed up" with yellow ribbons overnight, and the occupational authorities are frantically trying to take them down. I admire the courage of people who do this and can only say one thing — We see you, you are not forgotten, and we are praying for you! Let’s join in that prayer for those in the occupied territories. They have many unusual trials to go through, evangelical Christians especially. Al Akimoff and the Slavic Ministries Team Comments are closed.
