Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings Psalm 17:7-8 Tonight, I came across several stories — a 27-year-old Ukrainian soldier who received five sniper gun wounds but survived; a 19-year-old defender of Mariupol who survived torture and six months as a POW against all odds; a 25-year-old marine with seven years of combat experience and nine months of Russian captivity and torture who returned with a weight of 43 kg (95 lbs) yet unbroken spirit. These stories astonish you with their honesty, and you realize they are God's mighty hands in action. I also saw an estimation by a US Army special-ops general that Ukraine has taken 17,000 Russians off the battlefield without firing a shot but using their low morale and successful media campaigns. Isn't it an incredible answer to prayers?! Thousands of not only Russian but Ukrainian lives were spared! These stories, the proof of God's wondrous steadfast love, keep me going when everything seems too dark. God is always at work, yet by His grace, He allows us to see glimpses of what He's doing in this world and through us. Something to praise God for and to continue to pray that lives would be spared.
