Sudan Update - April 10 2024

​Dear friends,

It has been almost a year since the fighting between the government army (SAF) and the militia (RSF) started in Sudan on April 15, 2023. Fighting still continues around the country. From the news that we hear, the RSF power is getting weaker.

Almost all of the YWAM staff and families have had to move to find safety since the war started. Some of the YWAM families are now on the move again. We are currently in 13 different locations around Sudan and three countries around Sudan. Sady, we have lost communication with a few of the YWAM staff since phone networks are often down in Sudan.

We would like to thank you for your prayers and financial support. It has been a big help to our families and the ministries that we continue to be involved in.

We started a project of building classes for the school Classrooms in Dongola in Dongola. Now we reached first level and stopped because still we need more materials to finish the second level. Also, we managed to do mercy ministry last week in Dongola we gave out food bags to 60 families, but still there are many big needs. In spite of the difficult time, God is opening different doors for ministry. The team in Damazeen will run a revival in a local church for three days in May. The team in Karma is planning to run children ministry in June.

And the team in Dongola will host a Bread of Life seminar, in which we read the entire Bible aloud and together in 11 days.

- Pray for the end of the war.
- Pray for YWAM staff and their families to be safe and bring hope wherever God plants them.
- Pray for hearts to be softened and open to hearing the good news.
- Pray for those who are sick as there are a lack of medicines and there are many in the hospitals without family members to care for them.
